This all seems unnecessarily complex to install a driver that should have been installed in either the original install or in the recent upgrade to F35. I found this online guide to get this working - hopefully. I've added the RPM Fusion repos to the Store but I don't see any additional Nvidia entries. Are the Nvidia binaries in the Fedora Software Store working? If I install them from there are they installed? If they are, why aren't they activating when rebooting? Before I try to install the 470 drivers I should double check that the 495 series are running 100%. (ONLY IF YOU ARE HAVING GTX 700 SERIES OR ABOVE. (See: How to NVIDIA ) Execute sudo dnf install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-power kmod-nvidia in terminal. So, now I need to understand some things. And never forget to disable the secure boot Fully update Fedora and reboot. I'm not sure he's talking about the Store binaries. It explains how to install the tool but not how to use it.
Now according to this page the Nvidia binaries have been "phased out" in favor of the tool. So maybe the Nvidia drivers were never active?
So when I re-installed them today via the Store and rebooted, the nouveau drivers were still active. I had assumed that since the Nvidia 495 drivers were showing as installed in the Store when Fedora was first installed, that's what was being used.
